At St. Peter Lutheran Church , the mission is to grow our faith in Jesus as we journey together and serve others.
Our church was founded in 1858 by a group of dedicated Christians who wanted to create a welcoming space for all people. Since then, we have grown into a joyful and vibrant community that serves our members and our city.
We offer a variety of ministries and programs for all ages, including, Sunday School, youth groups, Bible studies, Woman's Prayer Group, and outreach programs. Our ministries are designed to help our members grow in their faith and serve others in our community.

Pastor Carol is so happy to be serving at St. Peter. After serving as a Pastor's wife for 35 years she finally answered God's call to become a pastor herself. She has an extensive background in education and counseling. She loves the Lord and seeks to be faithful in her calling to serve as Pastor at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. She and Pastor Doug have one son, Andrew, who is married to Pamela and they have two children.
Lauren is our office administrator who is the background person who joyfully serves the duties of the office tasks. She is the mother of three young boys and happily married to her husband, Alan. She and her family are faithful members of our church. Best times to reach Lauren in the office are Monday and Wednesday mornings or by her email stpeterdelphos@gmail.com
We are grateful for the talents of Emily, who is a senior at Bluffton University majoring in Special Education. Emily is not only gifted at the organ and piano but also has a beautiful singing voice. She grew up in this church and continues to be a member.
Randy is a retired educator who puts his heart and soul into making sure our building is clean and ready for worship and all other activities. He is married to Vicki where they are long time members of St. Peter. Together, they have three children and seven grandchildren.
Church Council:
We love to support our community by praying with and for you and your loved ones. Below is a summary of some of the variety of ways you can ask for prayers from us.
Prayer Chain - Whatever your prayer intention is, you can contact Pastor Carol through email or the office. She will forward the information to our prayer chain coordinator so your prayer request can be sent out to our Prayer Chain email group. Some intentions requested are prayers for stronger faith, health, etc. How long your intention is on the prayer chain depends on the request. Please be sure you have the person's permission to add them to this public list.
Prayer of the Faithful | Bulletin List - This is the list of names we keep in our weekly bulletin. Consider adding a name to this list if you or someone you know has a chronic illness or poor health. Call or email the office to add or remove a name. The names will remain indefinitely unless the person has passed away, recovered, or if a request is made to remove them. Again, it is best to have another person's permission before adding their name to this list.
Woman's Prayer Group - this group meets twice a month to pray for the needs of others.
Private Prayer - Meet with Pastor Carol by phone, email or in person at the Church office or in home. We will pray with you and all you have to do is receive.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of others through your financial contribution.
We are glad that God has brought you here today! We believe that Jesus offers his peace, love, and forgiveness to all people - and that includes you. We pray that the Holy Spirit will touch your heart today!
